Giten Love Meditation:
Opening of the Heart
– Love, Aesthetics and Inner Being
This is meditation to open the heart in four steps. The first step is to move from the head to the heart, and to come in contact with the heart. The second step is to be more loving, and to change the quality of your relationships. The third step is to be more aesthetic. The fourth step is to rediscover the inner being, where you discover that you are neither the head or the heart. Try each step for a few days, until you understand each step, and you can practice all the 4 steps.

The first step is to move from the head to the heart, and to look at the world through the heart. By and by the heart will begin to function, and when the heart functions again, it will change your life. For love, you need the heart to function.
The second step is to be more loving, which will change the quality of your relationships. It is not only your relationships with your partner, but become more loving in your relationships towards life as such. Create a loving attitude to life as a whole.

The more your relationships are based on love, the more your heart will develop. You will be looking at the world with different eyes.

When you look through the heart, the whole universe looks like a unity, a wholeness. The heart is the door to discover that we are not separated from life, but that we are small islands in one great ocean of consciousness.
The heart joins together – and the ultimate synthesis is God. If we look through the heart, the whole looks like one – and that oneness is God.

Be more loving whatsoever you are doing, allow the quality of love to be there.

Be more loving, even with a tree, a stone, a dog and even with things.

The third step is to be more aesthetic, which is to be more sensitive towards music, poetry, dancing, painting, writing and beauty – towards anything that touches the heart. Be creative and create something of your own.
Participate in the world, create – and your heart will begin to function and develop.

And when you have a functioning heart, the quality of your mind will also change. The mind becomes an instrument. You can move away from it when you like.

The fourth step is to rediscover the inner being, where you discover that you are neither the head or the heart. You are the inner being, the inner center, where YOU ARE.

The head and the heart is centers that need to be developed, but the inner being can only be rediscovered. The inner being is the existential center that you were born with.

In the inner being, you discover that when you are, love is not, but when you are not, love is.
