“There is a very simple

“This book changed my whole view of the world.”
Ann-Sofie Segerstedt, Sweden
“Love is not an exclusive relationship with another person; love is the quality that arises when we are in contact with our inner being, with our authentic self, with the meditative quality within, with the inner silence and emptiness. This inner emptiness is experienced by others and is expressed on the outside as love. This love is not addressed to a specific person; it is a presence and quality that surrounds a person like a fragrance.”

SWAMI DHYAN GITEN’S NEW BOOK
THE LANGUAGE OF SILENCE:
FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT
IS TOUCHING HEARTS AROUND THE WORLD
“I was 9 years old when I had my first spiritual awakening, my first glimpse of wholeness with Existence, my first taste of the language of silence”, says spiritual teacher and best-selling author Swami Dhyan Giten in this book. This created a deep thirst and longing in his heart and being to return to this natural and effortless experience of being one with the Whole.

“I have always had the capacity to go within myself and to discover the silence within, the inner meditative quality, the inner source of love and truth, the inner language of silence”, Giten explains in this book. “Now I also notice that this silence is going deeper, and that I go beyond the ego and disappear into the silence.”

This book consists of a collection of quotes from Swami Dhyan Giten on silence. It also explains how silence is the flower and love and wholeness are the fragrance.

Swami Dhyan Giten has dedicated his life to teach the art of awareness and meditation. He conducts individual consultations, seminars and courses internationally. His quotes, articles and books has touched the hearts of thousands and are appearing with increasing frequency in magazines, blogs and websites.

“While reading this book which is formatted in short
segments and insightful phrases and a true delight to read and sure to later re-visit, I had the sense of listening to his open heart as it gave words to his personal silence.

Giten offers us a quite intimate connection with his inner being and thus a glimpse of the beauty within ourselves.”

Eric Rolf, international lecturer, author of Soul Medicine and former consultant to John Lennon

“As I started studying for Giten, a new dimension of awareness has developed step by step, which has transformed my whole life.”

From the foreword by Emanuel Sjogren, musician and student of Giten since 5 years.

“Swami Dhyan Giten is a special teacher
with 30 years of experience in the spiritual field. I have come to know about Giten from his books and I am getting his E-mail newsletter for a long time. His books and writings are powerful, and can transform a lot of people. I request you all to read his books and share his page in social media to share truth. I guarantee that his writings are great, and I am very happy to get an interview with swami.”

Spiritual therapy works basically because we are all one. This book presents a new dimension of psychotherapy and spiritual healing with a base in meditation.
Working with people from love, truth and wholeness is the psychology of being, the science of inner transformation. The psychology of being begins where Western psychology ends. It is basically not a question of psychology; it is a question of being.
The psychology of being begins where we are and take us to that which we can be. This book is written both for people who want to discover their own inner being, and for those who work with other people and wants to discover a new love, clarity, depth and inspiration in their professional work.
The different topics of the book are combined with practical exercises.
“This book is more than a book about presence, but a manual in the art of unlocking the Soul’s Presence within the Personality.”
Eric Rolf, international lecturer and course leader, former consultant to John Lennon and author of Soul Medicine

THE SILENT WHISPERINGS OF THE HEART

– An Introduction to Giten’s Approach to Life

A Beautiful Gift for Yourself or a Beloved Friend

How can we learn to listen to the silent whisperings of our heart? How does love relate to aloneness? What is intuition? How can we develop our presence, so that our presence and intuition becomes a source of love, joy, healing and wisdom in the contact with another person? What is the difference between the personality and the inner being, the authentic self? How can we develop the inner being through meditation? How do the inner man and woman express themselves on the outside in the form of relationships? How do the three life areas, meditation, relationships and creativity, relate to each other in creating a loving, fulfilling and creative life? What is spiritual maturity?

The Silent Whisperings of the Heart consists of a collection of quotes from Swami Dhyan Giten about awareness, meditation, intuition, relationships, the inner man and woman, healing, working with people from love and awareness, truth, creativity, silence, wisdom and spiritual maturity. Each page inspires you to see yourself and life in a new way, from a new dimension. This collection of quotes is an introduction to Giten’s perspective on life. It is a beautiful gift for yourself or a friend.

Giten has been compared with the poetry of Kahlil Gibran, author of the famous book The Prophet, and he has been quoted together with Albert Einstein, Carl Jung, Ramana Maharishi, Plato, Albert Schweizer, Jean-Paul Sartre, Bertrand Russel, Anais Nin, Walt Whitman, William Blake, Herman Hesse, Heraclitus, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and the Indian book of wisdom The Upanishads.

“In The Whisperings of the Heart, Giten points at the variety of ways in which our inner being expresses itself in terms of our actions and our relationships. He also provides insights in various areas, including of course, those of healing and intuition, meditation, art and creativity, communications, loving relationships with friends and family, working with people from love and awareness and spiritual maturity.

His comments are both useful as well as joyful and inspirational. More than anything, they motivate us to taste where we may not have fully tasted before, to taste the beyond.

Giten invites us to a celebration, a feast for the soul and delights us and inspires us with capsules of insight and conscious affirmation of the deliciousness of the divine.”

From the foreword by Eric Rolf, International lecturer, seminary leader, author of the book Soul Medicine and consultant to John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Paul Simon and Carlos Santana

SATSANG

– A Meeting in Love, Truth and Silence

A Direct Insight

and Experience

of Being

“It is astonishing to realize that growing up actually means to become one with Existence. It means to find the whole Existence within myself; it means to discover that Existence is alive in my own heart and being.

The song of a bird echoes my own inner voice, the beauty of a flower reflects my own inner beauty, a dog becomes an expression of my own unconditional love and friendship, the majestic mountains create an ecstatic joy, and I discover all the shining stars of the sky within my own heart.

It is to realize that the whole Existence is alive, and that the underlying thread of consciousness is God.”

– Swami Dhyan Giten

During the spring 2014, the much appreciated Satsangs with Swami Dhyan Giten will continue during 10 Wednesday evenings in Stockholm. Satsang is a meeting in love, truth and silence. Satsang is a love, a meditation and an energy transference. Satsang is a direct insight and experience of our inner being, of our authentic self.

This Satsang-series has been given the theme “Seven Levels of Consciousness”, and during these evenings Giten will also lecture about the seven levels of the consciousness and the chakra system, where there will be an opportunity to ask questions about spiritual growth. The chakra system is a map of the human consciousness, and includes all psychological and spiritual life areas. We will also explore the difference between the personality, the psychological “I”, and the inner being, the authentic self, the meditative quality within, the inner source of love and truth, the inner silence and emptiness, the capacity to surrender to life, in the chakra system.

The lecture will be followed by 40 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation, where a deep silence and oneness emerged in the group during the Satsangs during the autumn. It felt like a modern mystery school of love and truth was emerging, which made Giten’s heart dance with joy.

In between the evenings, practical exercises and meditation will also be recommended to deeply integrate these 7 levels of consciousness into your daily conscious life. It is an opportunity to reinforce your intention to awakening, to enlightenment.

This Satsang-series also include an individual consultation with Giten for spiritual guidance. Sometimes psychological factors can hinder us from being in contact with our inner being, with our authentic self, so for them that wish further time and space to explore what stands in the way of being in contact with their inner being, there is also an opportunity to book additional consultations with Giten. This can also deepen the experience of Satsang.
All are welcome!

Satsang with Swami Dhyan Giten in Stockholm: The Way to Truth and Enlightenment

  Swami Dhyan Giten

SATSANG

with

During the Satsang with Giten in Stockholm on Thursday, November, 7, Giten recapitulated the first three steps of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment. Giten also talked about Buddha’s words on commitment on the way to truth and enlightenment, and recommended a meditation for the coming week.
The first three steps of Vedanta’s seven steps to enlightenment is the masculine phase. It is the phase of doing, effort, commitment and will.
The first three steps are:
1. The oceanic feeling, heart, body,
feeling God is everywhere in human
beings, animals, flowers, stones and nature
2. Thinking, contemplation, meditation, training
the mind to be focused. Only a focused mind can
disappear.
 3. Non-attachment, desirelessness, becoming
aware about desires and becoming the inner witness.
Giten opened this Satsang with the questions to the participants about what their main desire and main attachment in life that creates a fear to trust the abundance of life and creates a separation from life. Giten also asked the participants how they related to meditation, and how much they had a relationship to meditation as a committed, regular and heartful practice.
One participant commented that his main desire and attachment was survival both in relation to practical things and in relation to other people, which created a separation from life. He also said that meditation became a “doing” for him, rather than a non-doing.
Giten commented that meditation is not really something you can “do”. Meditation is not about achieving results, it is not about getting anywhere. In fact, all desires and ambitions create a hindrance to meditation.
Another participant said that he felt that he was in a “yes”-phase in life when much was happening on the inside, but that it brought up a desire and an attachment that the yes-flow would not disappear, and create a feeling that nothing was happening. He also said that his main desire was a patience for his spiritual growth.
Giten commented that this desire is, in fact, very good for his spiritual growth as patience is needed in the spiritual growth. Giten said that patience, meditation, wisdom and silence are aspects of the same phenomenon.
Giten continued to talk about Buddha’s words on commitment on the way to truth and enlightenment.
Buddha
– The Way to Truth and Enlightenment
– Some walk on the path to enlightenment and are faint hearted, some go half way and some come home victorious. Enlightenment is to come home.
– Walk steadily on your way to enlightenment
– Walk with resolve and courage
– Be fearless in whatever situation you may be
– Destroy every evil influence that you may come across
– In this way, you shall reach the goal
“There are many types of people. A few are cowards, who never walk the way to truth and enlightenment. A few come back when difficulties start to arise on the way. A few go the way half-heartedly, and then return back again. There are only a few that go into the battle of enlightenment, and who come back home. You have to be ready, otherwise you will miss the goal. Coming home is Samadhi, enlightenment, and that is what Buddha’s eightfold path to truth and enlightenment is about.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
Giten closed his talk with giving a meditation called Nirodha, which focuses on the gaps, the silence, the emptiness, that occurs between two thoughts.
Nirodha
– A Glimpse of Being,
a Glimpse of Samadhi

“I have been talking with students in my individual therapy- and meditation program’s about the enlightened Indian Master psychologist Patanjali and his 8 steps to enlightenment. I have found a meditation, which Patanjali calls Nirodha. Nirodha is a very simple and significant meditation, which gives me deep insight into my being, deep insights into samadhi.
Nirodha is the gaps, the silence, the emptiness, that occurs between two thoughts. One thought comes, it goes again, another thought comes, but between these two thoughts there are a very subtle gap, a very subtle interval. Between two thoughts, there are a moment of silence, when you are thoughtless. These gaps is the door into insights into our inner being. We all experience these glimpses of being, but these glimpses are very small so unless we are aware, we will miss them.
Do not pay attention to the thoughts, focus on the gaps. Ordinarily we focus on the thoughts, but we do not focus on the gaps between the thoughts.
These gaps appears first as small glimpses, then larger gaps, until one day thoughts disappears – and you are in a deep silence.
There is really no need for any other meditation, there is no need to do anything else, if you can just sit silently and go on watching the gaps.
These glimpses gives us an insight into who we really are beyond our ideas, thoughts and conditioning, which will make your false identity fall away by itself.
In these gaps, in this silence, you are in the same state as one who has attained samadhi, who has attained enlightenment. The only difference is that our state is a momentary glimpse. These glimpses gives us the first glimpse of samadhi, the first glimpse of enlightenment.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
The lecture was followed by 30 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation, where a deep silence and oneness emerged in the group. It felt like a modern mystery school of love and truth was emerging, which made Giten’s heart dance with joy.
During the winter 2013, there is be an opportunity for open Satsang with Giten during Thursday evenings in Stockholm. Satsang with Giten will also continue during the spring 2014 in Stockholm.

SATSANG

During the seventh Satsang with Giten in Stockholm on Thursday, October, 31, Giten lectured about the seventh step of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment.
The sixth step of Vedanta, of sadhana, of spiritual discipline, is The Grace of God, Samadhi, Enlightenment, The Ocean.
Giten opened this satsang with the questions to the participants about what enlightenment means to them, what commitment they have to achieve enlightenment and what desires and attachments that stand in their way of achieving enlightenment.
One participant commented that the challenge for him with enlightenment was to say “yes” to the truth of the moment, another participant commented that the basic fear of enlightenment for her was to be alone, a third participant commented that the challenge for her with enlightenment was to be in the flow of love and not getting caught up by fear, and a fourth participant commented that enlightenment for him was to trust the flow of life.
The lecture was followed by 40 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation, where a deep silence and oneness emerged in the group. It felt like a modern mystery school of love and truth was emerging, which made Giten’s heart dance with joy.
A participant also commented that her headache just disappeared during the Satsang.

“The seventh step is the Upanishadic mystery. A mystery that can only be lived, not explained.”

Only Truth Remains

SATSANG

I have always had the capacity to go within myself and to discover the silence within, the inner meditative quality, the inner source of love and truth – the inner language of silence. Now I also notice that this silence is going deeper, and that I go beyond the ego and disappear into the silence.

– Swami Dhyan Giten

During the fifth Satsang with Giten in Stockholm on Thursday, October, 17, Giten lectured about the fifth step of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment.
The fifth step of Vedanta, of sadhana, of spiritual discipline, is Ego disappears, all desires disappears, the outer world disappears – only truth remains.

“On the fifth step, the mind and the worldly desires of the seeker disappears – and only truth remains. A seeker on the fifth step appears introverted, tired and sleepy. On the fifth step, the seeker appears like a zombie, the seeker appears to be tired and drowsy even if he performs his daily activities. It can be difficult to function in the world. This step is a birth of a new consciousness, a new being. It is to fall into your original nature, your original being. The fifth step can be described as eyes without bottom, eyes as deep as existence itself.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
“The fifth step belongs to the dreaming consciousness. There are 4 levels of consciousness:
1. Waking consciousness, mind, the surface of the personality
2. Dreaming consciousness, mind
3. Sleeping consciousness, unconscious being
4. Turiya, the fourth state, conscious being, samadhi, enlightenment.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
The lecture was followed by 40 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation.
“On the fifth step, only truth remains. Truth can be described as that which never changes, as opposed to Maya, illusion, dream, separation from life, which is that which always changes, for example the mind, the body and worldly desires.”

SATSANG

The fragrance of Satsang with Giten on Thursday evenings in Stockholm is spreading, and people are coming to the Satsang in mysterious ways.
It feels like Existence has already taken over the Satsang with Giten. It feels like the method for Satsang is to move out of your own way, to say “yes” and to flow with what happens.

Marie Soderberg, a psychotherapist and a participant in Satsang with Giten, commented: “Good that existence has taken over – if it has not done that from the beginning.”

During the fourth Satsang with Giten in Stockholm on Thursday, October, 10, Giten lectured about the fourth step of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment.
The fourth step of Vedanta, of sadhana, of spiritual discipline, is Non-duality, Only One Existence – One Being, One Existence, One Consciousness, One Truth.
The first three steps of Vedantas’s 7 steps to enlightenment is the masculine phase, while the fourth step is the first step of the feminine phase.
“The first three steps of Vedanta’s seven steps to enlightenment is the masculine phase. It is the phase of doing, effort, ego, commitment and will.

1. The oceanic feeling, heart, body, feeling God is everywhere in human beings, animals, flowers, stones and nature. Many seekers has experienced this oceanic feeling of oneness, which have created a longing and thirst in their heart and being to come back to this blissful and effortless way of being one with life.
2. Thinking, contemplation, meditation, training
the mind to be focused. Only a focused mind can
disappear.
3. Non-attachment, desirelessness, becoming
aware about desires and becoming the inner witness.
The fourth step is the first step of the feminine phase, of non-doing, of effortlessness, of allowing. The fourth step is about letting go, about not creating hindrances to our spiritual growth. It is a kind of death, not of the physical body, but of the ego.”

– Swami Dhyan Giten
“The first three steps has to be practiced, the first three steps has to be so deeply rooted in your being through your effort – and then the fourth step happens by itself. Suddenly you realize that there is non-duality, that only one exists, one being, one existence, one truth. You realize that life is one, that the sky is one”

– Swami Dhyan Giten

The lecture was followed by 40 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation.

“The feminine phase is about flowing with the river of consciousness, to flow with the Ocean of consciousness, to flow with Samadhi. One day the river will reach the ocean.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten

During the third Satsang with Giten in Stockholm on Thursday, October, 3, Giten lectured about the third step of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment. Emanuel Sjoberg, musician and student to Giten since 5 years, commented on the lecture that words can really be healing.
The third step of Vedanta, of sadhana, of spiritual discipline, is non-attachment and desirelessness as a basic step to enlightenment. Non-attachment is a basic step for a seeker of love and truth.
The mind has the capacity to become attached to things and to people, for example sex, feelings, family, power, money, fame, love, relationships and spirituality.

A wavering mind can not get non-attached. Only a non-wavering mind can get non-attached. Ordinarily the mind is wavering and moves from one thought to another.
Concentration means that the mind has to be trained to retain one thought, one object, for longer periods of time.
Unawareness is attachment and desire, awareness is non-attachment and desirelessness.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
“The two first steps of Vedanta is a preparation to be with somebody who knows, it is a preparation to be with a teacher of meditation. Before you have reached the third step, you will not be ripe to be with a teacher in meditation.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
“The third step Non-attachment includes karma. Karma is the actions of the past, which is accumulated in the mind. Karma can both be positive and negative merit. The karma can be of three qualities: 1. Karma that is activated during the day 2. Karma that is activated during one life and 3. The accumulated karma of all previous lives. This accumulated karma governs the circle of birth and death.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten

The lecture was followed by 30 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation where a deep presence and silence is developing. “A strong session”, concluded the participant Emanuel Sjoberg.
“On the third step, you begin to get glimpses of the authentic inner being. You begin to get glimpses of enlightenment, which in Japan is called satori.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten

That Which Is Important in

During the second Satsang with Giten in Stockholm on Thursday, September, 26, Giten lectured about the second step of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment.
The second step focus on meditation, understanding the mind and on understanding what is important in life, on learning to distinguish between what is essential and non-essential, what is loving and what is not loving, what is true and what is not true, in our lives. This is the basic step for a sincere seeker of love and truth.
“The step of  of Vedanta’s 7 steps to enlightenment is right listening, right remembering, right conduct, right contemplation and right meditation .  The second step is about understanding the mind, and realizing that we are not the mind and the body.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
“When the mind is totally silent, then  you can listen. Right listening is to silence the inner monologue, to silence the constant inner chattering. When a constant inner chattering is going on, you can not listen. The first step of right listening is to be silent and empty.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
“Right remembering means to throw the rubbish out, and only keep the essential, the true, the real. It is about learning to distinguish between the essential and the non-essential, to learn to distinguish between what is real and what is not real, to distinguish between what is truth and what is not truth and to learn to distinguish between what is loving behaviour and what is not loving behaviour. It is the first step for a sincere seeker of love and truth”
– Swami Dhyan Giten
“Right conduct is about learning how to behave rightly. When you behave wrongly, your energy moves in wrong directions. Right behaviour means to be always loving, blissful, in your behaviour – and not unnecessarily hurt other people. Hurting others people just means that you are hurting yourself.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten

The second step of Vedanta also includes right contemplation and right meditation, and Giten also lectured about what meditation is.

“Right meditation happens in the moments when the thoughts stop. It happens when the mind stops. Meditation is no-mind. Right meditation means a moment when the mind ceases, which will become Samadhi, enlightenment.”
– Swami Dhyan Giten

The lecture was followed by 40 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation where a deep presence and silence is developing.
