GITEN’S BIRTHDAY
 ON MAY 15 IS CELEBRATED
WITH SATSANG AND
SHAKTIPAT INITIATION
– Initiation
into
Freedom

It is like taking initiation for real this time – and it is not about belonging to an organization or a church. Satsang with Giten has put me on the path again – and so much is opening up.”
– Toshen, Stockholm
“A longing has been born to clarify my “shopping list for life”, and to make meditation number one.”
– Emanuel Sjogren, Orebro
We are very happy to inform you that the first Satsang with Shaktipat Initiation will happen on Giten’s birthday, May 15, in Stockholm.
Initiation into freedom is basically a way of living life consciously, in meditation and celebration, a life lived in oneness with Existence, inspired by the vision of spiritual teacher Swami Dhyan Giten.
Initiation into Freedom is an experience of the heart. It is an initiation into the ancient path of truth, an initiation into the invisible path.
Initiation into Freedom is a sincere commitment to yourself and to your own spiritual growth. It is a statement that the most important thing in your life is meditation, to become more aware, more conscious and more awake. Initiation into Freedom is a surrender to the truth of your own being.
Initiation into Freedom happens inside the being of the individual. It is conscious choice of the sincere seeker of love and truth, who have a deep commitment to truth. Previous experience of meditation is recommended.
Giten has initiated people to the path of truth with people who surrendered to him in their hearts through creating an inner initiation in their inner being for 30 years, but he has not formally initiated people before. But now the time seems ripe to begin to initiate sincere seekers of truth.
Initiation into freedom is not a religion or an organization, it is a statement by the individual. Initiation into freedom is based on the Indian sannyasin tradition, but it is not a reunciation from the world. It is a life affirmative confirmation that embraces all aspects of life, mediation, relationships and creativity.
Initiation ceremonies will be performed in connection to Satsang evenings with Giten. Initiation can also be done by mail.
In initiation into freedom, Giten will observe you and find out:
1. What type you are
2. How much work you have done in your past lives
3. Where you are right at this moment in your spiritual growth
4. At what center you are functioning right now
5. Decision about meditative methods that will be helpful for you
Based on this observation, Giten will give you a new name, your spiritual name, with a meaning that will denote the pathway that you will travel on and an individual quality that will be be a guidance on your spiritual path. You will also receive a necklace symbolizing the oneness of life.

SATSANG

with

“Satsang with Giten

has put me on the path again
and so much is opening up.”

– Toshen, Stockholm

The first Satsang evening on the theme “Tantra – The Way of the Heart” on March 20 was a very strong Satsang.

Giten began this Satsang by lecturing on “Tantra – The Way of the Heart: Mahamudra – The Ultimate Experience”.
The lecture was recorded live and will be available in Swedish on YouTube and Grooveshark.

Below you will also find a collection of quotes in English from lecture.
The Satsang ended with 40 minutes of silent Satsang a meeting from heart to heart, a meeting from being to being.

Tantra – The Way of the Heart:
Mahamudra – The Ultimate Experience

A collection of quotes from the Satsang with Swami Dhyan Giten on March, 20, 2014

Mahamudra, the ultimate experience, is not an experience at all, because the experiencer is lost. The “I”, the ego is lost.
The ultimate experience is more like an experiencing. It is a process. It begins, but it never ends. You enter it, but you can never possess it. It is a deep merging and melting with Existence. It is a oneness. It is like a drop dropping into the Ocean.

When something happens to you that is beyond words, life is happening to you. When the Ultimate is happening to you, you are beyond words.
Mahamudra is the ultimate experience, the ultimate mystery. Mahamudra means a total orgasm with the Universe.

In love, you can sometimes feel a melting and merging with the other person, and the two becomes one. The physical bodies are still separate, but something beyond the bodies creates a oneness. It opens a spiritual dimension.

Only when the experiencer is lost, the experience is there.
Only when the seeker is lost, the experience is there.

Seek, and you will miss. Seek not, and you will find. The very seeking becomes a barrier to the ultimate experience.

Nobody ever reaches to God, God comes to you when you are open and receptive, when you are ready.

The way to become ready is trust, to develop a trust in life. The heart is the door to trust.

The deepest realization is that your being is a non-being. It is a nothing, a vast emptiness without boundaries. It is a no-self.

The feeling of self, of “I” is false.

When you come to the ultimate experience, when you come to your deepest core, you are no one. You are a vast emptiness.

You can become afraid in meditation, because the deeper you go in meditation, the more you realize that you are nobody, a nothingness. It is a death of the ego. That is why people become afraid of meditation.

To attain to Mahamudra, the ultimate experience, is to attain to all.

When you are not, you become the whole.

If you love another person, you have to become a no-self, a nothing. When you love, you have to become a nobody. When you are a nobody, love happens. If you remain somebody, love never happens.

One becomes afraid of love, because love opens the inner emptiness.

Love is not an effort. If love is an effort, it is not love.

It is the same case with the ultimate experience, it happens when you do not make an effort. Then you can simply float with the river to the Ocean.

1-DAY
SATSANG

INTENSIVE
WITH GITEN,
FEBRUARY 15, IN STOCKHOLM:
TANTRA – THE WAY OF THE HEART

“Tantra: The Way of the Heart is about discovering the
inner being, our authentic self, the meditative quality
within, the inner silence and emptiness, the capacity to
sureender to life. It is to learn to love and accept
yourself unconditionally. It is to realize that you are
already perfect as you are.”

– Swami Dhyan Giten

“Hallelujah! The 1-day
 Satsang with Giten
 was fantastic.
I left the Satsang, so in love with life. I only
feel love.”

-Lotta Hallin, participant in Giten’s Satsang Intensive, February 15, in Stockholm

Giten opened the 1-day Satsang Intensive on February 15 with the question to the participants about what was standing in their way to be authentically themselves.

The intensive included much laughter, humor and silence, and Giten used guidad meditation, questions and honest and truthful dialogue with participants, silent communion with nature, using ordinary daily activities for meditation, and silent Satsang meditation.

Giten then continued to introduce Tantra: The Way of the Heart, which is the path of love, joy, and surrender to life.

Giten continued during the day to lecture about the three levels of Tantra: The Way of the Heart: sex, love and prayer, which created a framework during the day to explore the three levels of love, from the physical level, to the psychological level to the spiritual level.

Giten’s lectures about Tantra and the three levels of love was recorded live during the day, and will be available in Swedish to download and on CD.

The Way of the Heart:
The Three Levels of Love

The Way of the Heart: The Three Levels of Love means to celebrate yourself and each moment in life, whatever the truth of the moment is.

It means to enjoy each moment. it means to celebrate each moment of life. It means to be thankful for each moment in life.

The Way of the Heart develops in three steps: 1. Sex 2. Love and 3. Prayer.

3. Prayer
– Prayer is the spiritual level. It is the level of meditation, awareness, silence and the divine.
– Sex becomes refined in love, and love becomes refined in prayer
– When you have gone beyond the heart, you have gone beyond love, your whole being is in need of flowering. Your whole being. your joy and silence needs to be shared, then it is prayer.
– Prayer is to start feeling that the other is divine
– In prayer, sexuality disappears

2. Love
– The second level Love is the psychological level.
– Sex is sharing through the body, love is sharing through the heart.
– To share love, you need a celebration in your heart, you have to be happy, content and silent, so that you can share.
– In love you need to love the other person for sex
– Love is in the middle of sex and prayer.
– Love relates to the fourth chakra, the Heart

1. Sex

– The first level Sex is the physical level. Sex exists between two bodies.
– Sex is a sharing through the body.
– Sex relates to to the second chakra, Sensations
– Religion is a bridge between sex and the the divine
– Sex is our basic energy , which is transformed and refined into love and prayer
– Swami Dhyan Giten

This 1-Day Satsang Intensive ended with 2 30- minute silent Satsangs, where Giten first guided the participants through the three levels of Tantra: sex, love and prayer.

Giten ended that 1-day Satsang Intensive by saying that this day was a perfect introduction to Tantra: The Way of the Heart, and that participants could expect the healing process of the day to go deeper during the coming weeks and months. He also said that this 1-day intensive also went as deep as it is possible to go: into the no-self, the inner silence and emptiness, which is the essence of Satsang,

He also informed that Satsang will continue during March, April and May on Thursdays 19.00 pm – 21.00 pm in Stockholm. He also informed that a new chance for 1-day Satsang Intensive is planned on April, 12, 10.00 am – 18.00 pm.

Awakening: Satsang Intensive with Swami Dhyan Giten, February, 15, in Stockholm

Awakening:

Satsang Intensive with

Swami Dhyan Giten

February, 15, 2014

Awakening: Satsang Intensive med Swami Dhyan Giten is an invitation, which can bring light on your path to inner awakening. Giten helps us to see what stands in the way of being in contact with our authentic inner being. It is an invitation to rediscover our authentic inner being, the inner silence and emptiness, the inner source of love and truth, the capacity to surrender to life.

This Satsang Intensive also works as a prolonged shaktipat (transmission of spiritual energy), which both creates immediate result – together with effect that becomes obvious during the coming weeks and months after the intensive. When Giten pursued an advanced training in spiritual healing in USA 1984, he was told that he had the capacity to become a seventh chakra healer, a spiritual healer, to act as a catalyst and channel for spiritual energy from the seventh chakra through the heart. The last 30 years has meant to develop and deepen this capacity to an instrument of subtle catalytic effect, which Giten uses in this Satsang intensive.

All are welcome to this journey towards inner awakening. This Satsang Intensive is a gift to ourselves on our way to spiritual awakening.

“I felt an immediate “yes” to Awakening with Giten.

Satsang with Giten was totally wonderful! Awakening with Giten was very strong.”

Toshen, beloved friend of Giten since many lives

“In some moments, I realize what an incredible opportunity Satsang with Giten is, and in other moments I fall back to the unawareness and sleep of the mind. I had never dared to take the step to participate in Satsang with Giten if there was not such a love.”

Emanuel Sjogren, musician and student of Giten since 5 years
“I could sit in Satsang with Giten on this sofa all night, but unfortunately I have to get up to work tomorrow –
but I think that this silence will affect people.”

White Roses and Crystals: Awakening: 1-Day Satsang Intensive with Swami Dhyan Giten, December, 14, in Stockholm

Swami Dhyan Giten

White roses and crystals:
Awakening: 1-Day Satsang Intensive
on December, 14
Awakening: 1-Day Satsang Intensive with Swami Dhyan Giten on Saturday, December, 14, in Stockholm began with Giten receiving beautiful white roses and an exquisite Agate crystal with Titan.
Giten began this 1-day intensive with talking about the first step of Buddha’s seven blessings. The first step of Buddha’s seven blessings is the blessing to be born as a human being, and that only humans has the great possibility, the great blessing, to become awakened, to become enlightened. Buddha also says that it is very easy to miss this great opportunity.
Giten could only take one sentence at a time, before questions and honest and truthful dialogues with participants happened. When Giten, after 45 minutes, commented that they had only managed to review one sentence since the last time, there was a long, loving laughter in the group.
The intensive included much laughter, humor and silence, and Giten used guidad meditation, questions and honest and truthful dialogue with participants, silent communion with nature, using ordinary daily activities for meditation, and silent Satsang meditation.
Giten continued to speak about Buddha’s seven blessings during the day, which created a framework for the day to explore the three levels of the human consciousness: the head, the heart and the inner being.
The head is the dimension of mind and intellect, of logic, reasoning and understanding, the heart is the dimension of love, trust, intuition, acceptance, humor, laughter and a sense of oneness in love, the inner being is the dimension of meditation, silence, emptiness, no-self and a oneness with life.
During the dialogue with participants, Giten recommended one participant to be aware of the conflict between following his own inner truth and his desire to be accepted by other people, and several participants laughed as they could recognize this conflict in themselves. With another participant, Giten talked about that she had a whole past life, where she was committed to meditation and silence, and that this intensive was her step back to the spiritual path. With a third participant, Giten said that a daily structure of daily meditation would help her to find a balance between the inner and outer world, between inner truth and outer satisfaction in life.

Giten commented during the last session of dialogues with participants that spontaneous moments of deep silence was beginning to occur in the group, which was a very good indication of being on the right track.
This 1-Day Satsang Intensive ended with 30 minutes of silent Satsang, where Giten guided the participants to see how much they could allow themselves to just disappear into the silence, to allow the thoughts to vanish – and the last session was a sheer delight in a deep silence, a rejoicement and a resurrection.
Giten commented afterwards that he did not think that it was possible to accomplish this kind of trust to disappear into the silence in a 1-day intensive. Giten also commented that the large concepts of enlightenment, Samadhi, Moksha and truth are really a very small experience when we dissolve into the silence – and learn to live this silence moment to moment.
This Satsang Intensive ended with Giten informing the participants of the opening of The Mystery School with regular Satsang Intensives and weekends, and a Christmas celebration where Giten handed out Christmas gifts to the participants.
Satsang – A Meeting in Love, Truth and Silence with Giten will continue during the spring 2014 in Stockholm, and another 1-Day Satsang Intensive will be offered by The Mystery School in February.

A Direct Insight

and Experience

of Being

“It is astonishing to realize that growing up actually means to become one with Existence. It means to find the whole Existence within myself; it means to discover that Existence is alive in my own heart and being.

The song of a bird echoes my own inner voice, the beauty of a flower reflects my own inner beauty, a dog becomes an expression of my own unconditional love and friendship, the majestic mountains create an ecstatic joy, and I discover all the shining stars of the sky within my own heart.

It is to realize that the whole Existence is alive, and that the underlying thread of consciousness is God.”

– Swami Dhyan Giten

During the spring 2014, the much appreciated Satsangs with Swami Dhyan Giten will continue during 10 Wednesday evenings in Stockholm. Satsang is a meeting in love, truth and silence. Satsang is a love, a meditation and an energy transference. Satsang is a direct insight and experience of our inner being, of our authentic self.

This Satsang-series has been given the theme “Seven Levels of Consciousness”, and during these evenings Giten will also lecture about the seven levels of the consciousness and the chakra system, where there will be an opportunity to ask questions about spiritual growth. The chakra system is a map of the human consciousness, and includes all psychological and spiritual life areas. We will also explore the difference between the personality, the psychological “I”, and the inner being, the authentic self, the meditative quality within, the inner source of love and truth, the inner silence and emptiness, the capacity to surrender to life, in the chakra system.

The lecture will be followed by 40 minutes of Satsang with Giten in silence and meditation, where a deep silence and oneness emerged in the group during the Satsangs during the autumn. It felt like a modern mystery school of love and truth was emerging, which made Giten’s heart dance with joy.

In between the evenings, practical exercises and meditation will also be recommended to deeply integrate these 7 levels of consciousness into your daily conscious life. It is an opportunity to reinforce your intention to awakening, to enlightenment.

This Satsang-series also include an individual consultation with Giten for spiritual guidance. Sometimes psychological factors can hinder us from being in contact with our inner being, with our authentic self, so for them that wish further time and space to explore what stands in the way of being in contact with their inner being, there is also an opportunity to book additional consultations with Giten. This can also deepen the experience of Satsang.
All are welcome!

It is an invitation, which can help you to discover the inner being, the meditative quality within, the inner silence and emptiness, the boundless and unlimited source of creativity, both in relation to ourselves, in relation to other people, in relation to creativity and in relation to Existence.

Your question will be published in Giten’s Newsletter, The Giten Blog and Giten’s spiritual blog on The Times of India. Your questions will be answered on these pages depending on when when Existence is ready to respond and the amount of questions.

The first question is presented below.
MEDITATION AND MUSIC:
FROM THE INDIVIDUAL TO
THE UNIVERSAL
Question 1.
Hi Dear Giten,

Please could you kindly clarify ‘silence’ i.e is that the same as the Sound of Silence (what I term the subtle sound called silence, or sometimes called the Nada Sound)? I practice listening to the Sound of Silence, but although I’ve known this since childhood I’ve only in recent years realised the deep significance of this as a spiritual practice for meditation and meditative living during normal daily active life. Is this what you are also referring too? My Kind regards and deep respect,

George

Dear George,

Thank you for your question. I laughed when I read your question as several of my students are musicians, and the title of my first book in Swedish is Song of Meditation: On Meditation, Relationships and Spiritual Creativity. Music and Meditation are really two aspects of the same phenomenon. Music and meditation are two sides of the same coin. Meditation is the roots and music is the flower.

Indian yogis say that the universe consists of sound, while the scientists say that the universe consists of electricity. They are both right as they look at the universe from two different standpoints. The Buddhist meditation method the Sound of Silence consists of learning to listen to universal sound that yogis talk about as the base of the universe.

The Sound of Silence is still a meditation method, and is not the same as what I refer to as silence. Sound of Silence is a meditation method, where you use the inner sound as the object for meditation. The overall object of meditation is learning to understand the mind, and to develop our inner being, the meditative quality within, the inner silence and emptiness, the capacity to surrender to life.

In our spiritual growth and in meditation, we travel through 4 levels of consciousness: 1. The conscious level 2. The subconscious 3. The unconscious and 4. The superconscious. The conscious level concists of what we identify as ourselves and of our desires, the second level the subconscious is everything that we deny about ourselves and has hidden in the basement of our consciousness, the third level the unconscious consists of our real needs that refers to the body and the fourth level the superconscious is the dimension of being. It is the level of samadhi, of inner silence and emptiness, where we become one with Existence.

In my work with students, I combine therapy with meditation to allow the students to step by step create the love, awareness and understanding to go through these four levels of consciousness.

The spiritual growth is also dependent on the commitment of the student. On the conscious level, the student finds the trust to his spiritual growth. On the subconscious level, he finds the love to go deeper in himself. On the unconscious level, he discovers the surrender to life. And on the superconscious level, he becomes one with life.

In India, there are two concepts: dhyana and samadhi. Dhyana means meditation, which means to use a meditation method to learn to understand and witness the mind, and to develop the inner being. Samadhi means the pure being, the inner silence and emptiness, where we disappear into silence and move from the individual to the universal. In samadhi, meditation is no longer necessary as we have become meditation.

Intuition

 – Trusting Your Self

Swami Dhyan Giten

An excerpt from the book The Silent Whisperings of the Heart – An Introduction to Giten’s Approach to Life

Intuition means to learn to listen to the silent whisperings of our own heart.

Intuition is our inner teacher, our inner source of love, truth and wisdom, in life.
Intuition basically means to develop a deeper trust in ourselves. Intuition means to develop a deeper trust in our heart and inner being.
Intuition is basically a function of our heart and the heart is the door to develop our intuition.
Intuition is a “yes” to life. Intuition means to develop a trust to life. Intuition means to learn to listen to life. When we allow ourselves to follow the silent whisperings of our heart, the fragrance of love arises.
Life is like playing “hide the key” with God. God has hidden the key and now it is up to us to find the key again. It also takes us a while to realize that the key is hidden in our own heart. Our heart is the door to allow life to guide us. Our heart is the door to say “yes” to life. Our heart is the door to surrender to life.
Intuition means to follow the silent whispers of the inner in a basic “yes” to life.
Life is really very simple. In each moment, we have the opportunity to choose between saying “yes” or “no”, to listen to our intuition, to listen to our true inner voice, the Existential voice within ourselves. When we say “yes”, we have contact with Existence and we receive nourishment, love, joy, support and inspiration. When we say “no”, we create a separation from life and begin to create dreams and expectations of how it should be. We begin to live in the memories of the past and in the fantasies of the future – as if any other time than here and now really could make us happy and satisfied.
Life is our teacher. Life communicates with us all the time and it is a lesson to see how life continuously have led me to the people I need to met, to the situations I need to experience, and to the places I need to be. There has never been any real reason to worry since all small individual rivers are already on their way to the ocean, to the Whole. It is not about swimming, it is about relaxing and to float with the river in a basic trust that life already leads towards the sea of consciousness, towards the Whole.
Intuition means to develop a trust in ourselves
Intuition means to know from within ourselves. Intuition is our true inner voice, our Socratic Daimonion, our inner teacher.

Intuition is about being present and taking creative decisions.

Through learning to listen to our own intuition, it develops to a constantly available inner source of love, truth and wisdom. We can close our eyes, go within, and always receive the right guidance.

Intuition is the art of the moment. Intuition is always in the moment, in the here and now.

Intuition means to develop a trust in ourselves, a trust in our own joy, intelligence and creativity, a trust in our own individuality.

The intellect gives insight, logic and understanding, the heart gives joy, acceptance, trust, intuition, compassion, friendship, playfulness, humor, creativity and a sense of oneness in love and the inner being gives silence, a rest in ourselves, meditation and a sense of belongingness with life.

The human heart is a healer, which heals both others and ourselves.

The human heart operates from two premises: “I Am Responsible” and “Only Love Works.

Love is what creates the freedom and relaxation to be who we really are.

The greatest gift we can give to another person is our love.

In the depth of our heart, we already know that we are perfect as we are. In the depth of our inner being, we already know that life is perfect as it is.

Fear and hate create separation, love and joy creates belongingness and wholeness.

Acceptance means to learn to love and respect ourselves as we are.

Acceptance is to love and embrace everything that we find within ourselves like a mother embraces her child.

When we stop judging others and ourselves, our heart begins to open.

Acceptance means to bring out everything from inside ourselves out in the light.

Everything we give love and attention to grows and develops.

Meditation is the way to develop the inner clarity, which is the base to develop our intuition.

Intuition is a capacity of our heart. Our heart is the door to allowing Existence to guide us, instead of being directed by our ideas, desires and expectations. Since the days of Aristotle’s, we have been taught that logic is the only way to reach a solution. But while logic works in a step-by-step-process to reach a solution, intuition simply takes a quantum leap to a solution without any intermediate steps.
To see life from the perspective of intuition is to have vision. To see life from the perspective of intuition is to see life from the perspective of wholeness. It is to understand that life is basically one and that we are part of life. While the intellect can only see the details, intuition sees the whole. To see life from the perspective of intuition is like looking at life from the summit of the mountain, whereas seeing life only from the perspective of intellect is like looking at life from the foot of the mountain. Through learning to listen to our intuition, we learn to be in contact with the Whole.
We all have the same capacity to develop our intuition. Meditation and love are the basic nourishment to develop our intuition. People with a quality of heart are often intuitive.
Intuition is the art of the moment. Intuition is always in the moment, in the here and now. While the intellect always moves like the pendulum of a clock between the memories of the past and the fantasies of the future, intuition is always in the moment, always in the here and now. The more we develop our inner being, the inner source of love and truth, the inner quality of being here and now, the more we also have access to our intuition.
Intuition is about moving out of our own way. Intuition is about moving out of our limited sense of “I”. It means moving out of the way of our ideas about how things should be and just be with what is. It is to be with the living reality of the moment.
Our heart is the door to allowing Existence to guide us. Our heart is the door to allowing life to support is in our psychological development process towards spiritual maturity.
Intuition is the voice of our inner being, of our authentic self. Intuition is the Existential voice within ourselves. Through listening to our intuition, we are in contact with the Whole.
Intuition is a trust that if we follow our heart, if we follow our love, joy and truth, the Whole becomes enriched.
Intuition is already in contact with Existence. Intuition is already in contact with that, which is larger than ourselves.
