Sound & Silence:

2-Day Satsang Weekend with Swami Dhyan Giten

February 7-8, 2015, in Stockholm

“Giten’s work is of the beyond,

it leads you beyond yourself, which I love. If I look back at the person that I was before I started Satsang with Giten and the person that I am now, it is two totally different persons.”

– Prem Mukta, participant in Sound & Silence: 2-Day Satsang Weekend with Giten, December 6-7, 2014, in Stockholm

This 2-day Satsang Weekend is Giten’s invitation to everyone, who have the inner thirst and longing for a direct recognition that our heart is the door to our being, our inner “yes”-quality, our authentic self, the meditative quality within, the inner source of love and truth, the inner silence and emptiness, the capacity to surrender to life.

This 2-day Satsang with Giten is an opportunity for a direct insight and realization of being. To meet our inner being means to witness and affirm everything that we already are.

It is to meet that that which is already perfect within ourselves.

Silence is the only way to convey truth – from one silent heart to another silent heart. A man of silence moves with a certain field of energy around him, and if you are receptive, his vibe starts touching your heart. Giten has developed a quality of subtle catalytic effect, which can help you to a direct insight and realization of being. It is a silent transmission from one silent heart to another silent heart. Participants in the 1-day Satsang Intensive with Giten on October 11, commented that there occurred spontaneous moments of deep silence and emptiness. The Satsang participant Prem Mukta said: “Giten’s work is of the beyond, it leads you beyond yourself, which I love.”

During this 2-day Satsang we will explore three keys to spiritual maturity, which will function as three underlying currents and which will be developed intertwined during the Satsang weekend: 1. The inner being: the first key is to develop the inner “yes”-quality, the meditative quality within, the inner source of love and truth, the inner silence and emptiness, the capacity to surrender to life. 2. The balance of life: the second key is to expand our being and to embrace the opposite poles and tendencies of life in meditation and creativity, love and freedom, relating and aloneness, happiness and sadness, fear and trust, sound and silence, the silent, watchful and female pole in meditation and the creative, active and masculine pole in meditation – silence in our inner center and movement in the periphery, where we learn to float with the river of life, rather than trying to swim against the current of life and 3. The Ultimate Mystery: the third key is to learn to recognize the precious moments of silence and emptiness, where the inner being becomes a door to oneness with life and where we understand that we have never been separated from life. A man of silence finds this whole world full of silence. Even the sounds only deepen his silence. The Ultimate Mystery is only heard when the mind is completely silent. It is the sound of silence. It is a silence dancing. And it is the most beautiful experience.

In a loving and supportive climate and atmosphere, and by using both open space for truthful communication with Giten and silent satsang, this 2-day Satsang presents a great opportunity for a direct remembrance and recognition of the pure being that we already are. We recognize the source of love deep within ourselves, which is our true nature. We realize all our possibilities for love, joy, acceptance, humor, trust, creativity, truth, freedom, silence, wisdom and oneness with life.

You have been gifted many times in previous embodiments and now everything will come rather easy for you. I want you to put your energy into the lives of others, because you can”.

The Language of Silence – From Darkness to Light

by Swami Dhyan Giten (Goodreads Author)

5.0 of 5 stars 5.00

I was 9 years old when I had my first spiritual awakening, my first glimpse of wholeness with Existence, my first taste of the language of silence, says spiritual teacher and best-selling author Swami Dhyan Giten in this book. This created a deep thirst and longing in his heart and being to return to this natural and effortless experience of being one with the Whole.

“I have always had the capacity to go within myself and to discover the silence within, the inner meditative quality, the inner source of love and truth, the inner language of silence”, Giten explains in this book. “Now I also notice that this silence is going deeper, and that I go beyond the ego and disappear into the silence.”

This book consists of a collection of quotes from Swami Dhyan Giten on silence. It also explains how silence is the flower and love and wholeness are the fragrance.

Swami Dhyan Giten has dedicated his life to teach the art of awareness and meditation. He conducts individual consultations, seminars and courses internationally. His quotes, articles and books has touched the hearts of thousands and are appearing with increasing frequency in magazines, blogs and websites.

“Swami Dhyan Giten’s The Language of Silence — From Darkness to Light reminds me of those moments when we drift back from sleep to wakefulness and the precious insights that quite often occur in those instants of ”awakening.”

It is my own experience that all spiritual paths have a common thread which most simply stated is: unconditional self acceptance. It is this process or journey toward self acceptance that leads to our connection with our individual aloneness and silence about which Giten so beautifully often comments. Here Giten tells us we find our true heart, that love that becomes our healer and a healing presence that projects beyond ourselves and heals and nourishes the lives of all others with who we have contact, be they friends, strangers or even our pets.

Giten’s The Language of Silence is a beautifully expressed and highly intimate picture of his own spiritual history. While reading this book which is formatted in short segments and insightful phrases and a true delight to read and sure to later re-visit, I had the sense of listening to his open heart as it gave words to his personal silence.

Giten offers us a quite intimate connection with his inner being and thus a glimpse of the beauty within ourselves.”

PRESENCE – WORKING FROM WITHIN:

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF BEING

“A very good book.”

Marie Soderberg, psychotherapist and instructor in Mindfulness

“Presence – Working from Within” is more than a book about presence, but a manual in the art of unlocking the Soul’s Presence within the Personality.”

Eric Rolf, American therapist and author of the book Soul Medicine,

former consultant to John Lennon

Spiritual therapy works basically because we are all one. In the depth of our heart and being, we are in contact with each other. We are in contact with each other in the ocean of consciousness.

This book is an invitation to open our heart. This book is basically about love. It is designed to help us understand how healing happens.

Healing is pure love. Healing and wholeness happens when we meet the love within ourselves. Spiritual therapy is about love – what love is, where to find it and how to develop the capacity to share love, to give caring. This book is an invitation to people, who are interested in spiritual therapy and healing and wants to work with people from love, truth and wholeness.

Working with people from love, truth and wholeness is the psychology of being, the science of inner transformation. The psychology of being begins where Western psychology ends. It goes beyond Skinner, Freud, Jung, Rogers and Humanistic psychology. The psychology of being is the psychology of consciousness, a psychology for inner transformation. It is basically not a question of psychology; it is a question of being. The psychology of being begins where we are and takes us to that which we can be.

The psychology of being takes us through the layers of personality of thoughts, feelings and learnt attitudes to our inner being, which is hidden deep within us. The inner being is a deep acceptance of ourselves as we are. The inner being is to be available to life. The inner being is to be one with life. This book is an invitation to discover the inner being, our inner source of love, joy, acceptance, humour, truth, freedom, wisdom, silence, creativity and oneness with life.

This book is designed to help us develop our presence, so that our presence and intuition becomes a source of love, joy, acceptance, understanding, truth, silence, wisdom and creativity in the contact with another person. This book presents a new dimension of healing with a base in meditation. Meditation is the way to deepen our capacity to be present and to explore how to bring the meditative presence and quality into the healing and therapeutic process. he underlying theme of the book is meditation – but not meditation as a static technique – but as the capacity to BE with ourselves and with another person in a quality of watchful awareness, acceptance and relaxation.

This book is written both for people who want to discover their own inner being and for those who work with other people and wants to discover a new love, clarity, depth and inspiration in their professional work. The different topics of the book are combined with practical exercises.

Satsang with Swami Dhyan Giten during the winter 2014 in Stockholm: Tao – The Way of Love, Happiness and Wholeness

Giten, foto, gul tröja, sittande på gren

TAO: The Path of Love, Happiness and Wholeness

Satsang with Gitenon Thursday evenings during November, December 2014 and January 2015 in Stockholm

The new Satsang series with Giten on Tao – The Way of Love, Happiness and Wholeness began on November 6 in Stockholm. Giten started this Satsang by lecturing on Tao and commenting on Lao Tzu’s book “Tao Te Ching” and Lu Tzu’s book “The Secrets of the Golden Flower”, one the most esoteric and unknown books in the World.

In his initial lecture, Giten focused on three basic concepts in Tao: 1.The opposite poles and tendencies of Life 2. Wu Wei – Action through inaction and 3. Silence and emptiness.

The Satsang ended in silence.

Below you will find an excerpt from the lecture in English.

The lecture was also recorded live and will be available shortly in Swedish on YouTube.

The Satsang series on Tao continues during the winter in Stockholm.

GITEN ON TAO

Lao Tzu’s first paragraph in the book “Tao Te Ching” is that the Tao that can be told is not the absolute Tao.

Lao Tzu has his own logic, the logic of paradoxes, the logic of life.

To understand Tao, you will have to create eyes.

Lao Tzu believes in the unity of opposites, because that is how life is.

The Tao can be communicated, but it can only be communicated from heart to heart, from being to being, from love to love, from silence to silence.

Truth is always realized in silence. In silence, the truth is realized.

You reach to truth through silence.

All spiritual books tries to say something that can not be said in the hope that a thirst, a longing, is created in your heart to know the truth.

Tao is totality. Life exists through the tension of the opposites, the meeting of the opposites.

Lao Tzu says that the opposite poles of life are not really opposites, but complementaries.

Thinking is always of opposites. Lao Tzu says: drop the split attitude. Be simple.

And when you are simple, you do not choose. Lao Tzu says: be choiceless, let life flow.

Enjoy both poles in life, and then your life becomes a symphony of opposites.

How to drop the mind: do not choose. If you do not choose, the mind drops.

Live life as it comes – float. Float with life. Enjoy the moment in its totality,

It is to live as part of the whole, to live as part of existence.

If you become silent and empty, everything will come on it’s own accord.

When you live without any desire for power, position, fame or success, the whole existence pours down into your emptiness.

– Swami Dhyan Giten

Satsang with Swami Dhyan Giten during the winter 2014 in Stockholm: Tao – The Way of Love, Happiness and Wholeness

Giten, foto, gul tröja, sittande på gren

TAO

– The Way of Love, Happiness, and Wholeness

Satsang with Giten on Thursdays during November, December 2014

and January 2015 in Stockholm

Satsang with Giten is an opportunity for a direct insight and realization of being.

Satsang is teaching by silence, and during this Satsang series during the winter 2014 in Stockholm, Giten will talk about Tao, the ancient Chinese path to love, happiness and wholeness. Tao is simple spontaneity, living life according to nature, which emphasises teaching by silence.

Only through silence, the truth can revealed. Only in silence, the truth can be transferred. During these Satsang evenings, Giten will talk about the Chinese Taoist mystics to ignite the flame of individual awareness and insight.

Tao emphasizes hollowness and wholeness. To be empty inside, to be hollow, is the meaning of meditation.

If you can be nourished even by emptiness, you are in touch with the eternal.

During this Satsang series we will explore Taoistic concepts both intellectually and existentially like the difference between the personality, the psychological “I”, and the inner being, the authentic self, the inner meditative quality, the inner silence and emptiness.

We will also explore the difference between being somebody and being a hollow bamboo, a nobody, and the difference between swimming against the current of the river of life, and simply floating with the river of life, just accepting life as it is – the essence of Tao.

These Satsang evenings begin with a lecture by Giten on Tao, and will end in silent Satsang.

Previous experience of meditation is recommended.

TAO

1-Day-Satsang-intensive with Giten

Saturday, December 6,

10.00 AM – 18.00 PM

“Satsang with Giten was totally wonderful!”

– Toshen, Stockholm

“It is so rare with this kind of silence.”

Prem Kalyani, musician and accomplished violin player, participant in Satsang with Giten

“Giten gave me life back. An awakening. I have seen the beauty in life, and I know that that this is the way.

I like Giten a lot. He is fantastic. The presence and impact he has on people. His wisdom and humor.”

– Prem Mukta, Stockholm

“In some moments, I realize what an incredible opportunity Satsang with Giten is, and in other moments I fall back to the unawareness and sleep of the mind. I had never dared to take the step to participate in Satsang with Giten if there was not such a love. Since I began to study for Giten, a new dimension of awareness has developed step by step, which has transformed my whole life.”

– Deva Emanuel , musician and student of Giten since 6 years

“Satsang with Giten is a rich and warm emptiness. I want to give Giten all love and my warmest thank you. Giten and the Satsang has given me so much. I have never been so close to happiness before. In many moments, life has become complete.”

– Prem Mukta, Stockholm

“The silent Satsang yesterday felt strong. Almost immediately when we sat down in silent Satsang, I was filled with an energy so strong that it felt like I was surrounded by an almost physical energy field. Satsang danced, it was living its own life. It felt ancient, powerful and beyond control. And in the middle of everything, a loud and wild laughter grow, which I had to fight to keep back. It felt like I would never stop laughing if I began. When Giten sounded the bell that the Satsang was over, I had to concentrate to come back in one piece, remind the body of the frame, remind the head of the room, of the here and now. After a while, it worked, and the effect was that I felt happy, calm and full of love after Satsang.

– Prem Mukta, Stockholm

“Even if I am not physically present on Satsang, I am always present in my heart every Thursday. I love these Thursdays.

– Prem Mukta, Stockholm

AUTHOR SWAMI DHYAN GITEN
ON SPIRITUAL ORGANIZATIONS
“A prerequisite for development is to know when it is time to hold on, and when it is time to let go of the old and take a new step. A prerequisite for all development is also a certain aloneness. The other side of creativity is a willingness to be alone.

Some time ago, I felt that I experienced more limitations, than possibilities in a spiritual organization, which I had belonged to for a long time. It became clear for me that I was prepared to expand, and take a new step in my spiritual growth. To be spiritual does not mean to belong to a spiritual group. I felt that I had grown out of the kindergarten, and my inner tree was bearing fruit. Too many large trees can not grow in a narrow area. This was a lesson to stand on my own feet; it was a lesson for me to live to my own life, to live my own truth, without following anybody else. I do not belong to any spiritual group or tradition, I am only interested to explore what it means to live with open eyes. This lesson developed an expanded my inner being.
A friend came with a good advice during this period: “Go ahead without looking back, let others do their thing, that is their choice and freedom – you do need their limitation.”
More than 20 years ago, one of my mentors in life said two things, that I have had reason to remember during the years that I have worked with people. He said: “Spiritual Masters teach on many different levels at the same time. Some people take what they can, and some take something deeper” and “Spiritual organizations also tend to get stuck in ideas of how it should be.”

SATSANG

with

A beautiful woman said in a consultation with Giten that she felt that she had to leave Sweden, because she felt that her friends and family did not allow her to to grow, to change.
An intelligent psychologist commented in a consultation with Giten that he appreciated that he had not come to some sort of cult.
Giten has now held Satsang in Stockholm for almost a year, which has been a mixed experience. The inner process in Satsang with committed seeker of truth has been a sublime, beautiful and precious experience, but the outer response from Sweden and the spiritual community has been a response of “no”, resistance, lack of commitment to spiritual growth and mind-negativity, which has been tiring.
The current Satsang series “Buddha – The Emptiness of the Heart” ends on October 9, and after that Giten will decide if there is enough “yes” and commitment to spiritual growth to continue with Satsang in Stockholm.
